With an overwhelming schedule, having absolutely no time and motivation to do this, I've decided to just write out the results to DWE FreedomFest in a very detailed description. This has more benefits than it does its obstructions so hopefully this is quite easy to read and understand.
1. Money In The Bank Ladder Match DWE Championship Contract Matt Cross VS Edge VS Matt Edwards VS Johnny Gargano VS Austin Aries VS Randy Orton VS AJ Styles VS Dolph Ziggler
All the competitors going into this match had their sights on the briefcase, but that was the easy portion of qualifying to participate in this match. The hard part unfortunately, was climbing a 15 to 20-foot ladder to retrieve the briefcase. This match surely grabbed the crowd’s attention as it was vigorously filled with moments that on can't miss. In one instance, Matt Edwards was within inches of pulling down the briefcase, but he was immediately speared off the ladder onto the floor outside of the ring as Edge had ran up a leaned ladder. Another instance was when Randy Orton had been on one side of a ladder that had another ladder crammed inside one of the steps for Orton to safely walk on, and there was Austin Aries and Dolph Ziggler on the other side of the ladder. All three men were so close to grab the briefcase, but Orton decided to increase his chances so, he grabbed both men in a DDT hold, stretching then out so their feet touched the top of the ladder and then preceded to deliver a Hangman's DDT to both of them, allowing them to fall to the canvas and to have Orton become the winner, but Orton forgot about who had just climbed the opposite side of the ladder, AJ Styles. Styles had instantaneously kicked Orton in the side of the head having him fall off the ladder and AJ being one step closer to retrieving the briefcase. Finally, Johnny Gargano was battling AJ Styles to become the winner as it seemed all competitors were nowhere near the ladder. The two of them had destroyed one another, attempting to make each other dazed, allowing an advantage when it came to grabbing the briefcase. The both of them were so centered around becoming the victor, that they forgot about Matt Cross, who had earlier in the match delivered a "Death From Above" off the ladder onto Matt Edwards, only to be knocked down to the canvas by Dolph Ziggler shortly afterward. Cross had attempted push both men off the ladder as it seemed to be working, but Cross wanted to perform something different. Cross had climbed to the top-rope and would execute a dropkick to one side of the ladder. Cross would break one side of the ladder that carried AJ Styles having AJ fall on top of Cross after he had fallen to the canvas. Johnny Gargano stunned by the now one-legged ladder, continued to go up the ladder and would then jump in order to cling onto the briefcase. Johnny would barely have any time to unbuckle the briefcase and then pull it down. Still holding onto the briefcase, Johnny had nowhere to go. The only thing he could do was dodge the opponents coming towards him. As soon as you know it, AJ Styles would grab Johnny by legs and pull him off of the briefcase, setting him up for the "Styles Clash" onto the one-legged ladder. After executing his finishing maneuver, AJ Styles had broken the other leg of the ladder. Aries had his sight locked in after getting back up to his feet as he ran to the outside to bring another ladder into play. He had brought it into the ring, set it up, and began to climb. Aries would pay no attention though to Dolph Ziggler, who was right behind him. Ziggler had performed a "Zig Zag" to Aries off of the ladder. Edge and Randy Orton were the tow left standing and both had climbing the sides of the already set-up ladder. Both extended their arms to grab the briefcase and rapidly struck one another with their devastating fists. Edge seemed to weaken Orton and would allow Orton to fall down two steps of the ladder, granting Edge a chance to end the match. Edge extended his arms once again and put both his hands on the briefcase, so close to winning, but Matt Cross had made it back up to his feet and pushed both competitors off the ladder and would then reset the ladder climbing as fast as he could after the injuries he had sustained throughout the match. Cross had finally done it and retrieved and unhooked the briefcase to secure the victory and earn himself a future DWE Championship title shot. Winner: Matt Cross
2. 10-Man Elimination Hardcore Match Hardcore Championship Nick Mondo (c) VS Tommy Dreamer VS Mike Knox VS Mankind VS Rickey Shane Page VS Raven VS Rhyno VS Ryback VS Sabu VS The Sandman
Not much is needed to say about this one. Order of Elimination: 1. The Sandman; eliminated by Ryback 2. Tommy Dreamer; eliminated by Rickey Shane Page 3. Raven; eliminated by Ryback 4. Ryback; eliminated by Rhyno 5. Mike Knox; eliminated by Nick Mondo 6. Rickey Shane Page; eliminated by Rhyno 7. Mankind; eliminated by Sabu 8. Rhyno; eliminated by Sabu 9. Sabu; eliminated by Nick Mondo Mondo would successfully retain the Hardcore Championship, leaving the ring a bloody mess and Sabu nearly dead. Winner: Nick Mondo
3. Tag Team Match The Hardy Boyz VS The Dudley Boyz
An intense rivalry was established between these two teams months prior to this match. Both teams had expressed much aggression throughout this match, especially The Dudley Boyz as they've become laughing matter to The Hardy Boyz for many weeks, losing countless matches due to interference. Sadly though, although losing other matches, The Dudley Boyz lost this match as well, not having the correct mindset going into it. Winners: The Hardy Boyz
4. Fatal 4-Way HAVOC Championship Curt Hawkins (c) VS Justin Gabriel VS Facade VS Shannon Moore
Fans had been waiting to see this match occur in front of their eyes as HAVOC has been a much underestimated brand as it carries multiple talented wrestlers. This match displayed some of HAVOC's "most" talented stars as its champion; Curt Hawkins defended his title against three other men that had rightfully deserved a shot at. Much can be said about this match. Gabriel delivered his "450° Splash" to just about everyone. Shannon Moore would pull off some insane outside dives and Facade and Hawkins had executed amazing in-ring maneuvers that many had never seen before. The match would eventually conclude as Hawkins was about to retain his title after delivering his "Heat Seeking Elbow" to Gabriel, Facade would deliver an enziguri to Hawkins having Facade go to the top-rope with Hawkins and execute a huge "Arashikage Driver" off the top-rope onto Gabriel. Facade would pin Hawkins gaining the HAVOC Championship for his first reign ever. Winner: Facade
5. 2-on-1 Handicap Match Tag Team Championships Gregory Iron (c) VS The Brothers From Ohio
After having Zach Gowen get mercilessly attacked by The Miz during a backstage interview, Gregory Iron had to walk into this match on his own to defend the DWE Tag Team Championships. Iron had a tremendous disadvantage, but conquered it throughout this match as he would give his all continuously. He had even delivered a Handicapped Parking to The Miz, but Ziggler had stopped the count. Ziggler was brutally hurt even more in this match by Iron due to Ziggler competing in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match at the beginning of the show. Iron was so close to retaining but then without the referee looking due to a distraction by Ziggler, The Miz low blowed Iron allowing them to capitalize and end the match with the both of them delivering "Star-Studded." Both The Miz and Dolph Ziggler would celebrate their Tag Team title win by having both their valets/girlfriends, Maria and Maryse come down to the ring and share a celebratory kiss with one another. Winners: The Brothers From Ohio
6. Singles Match Colt Cabana VS CM Punk
Having disputes with one another backstage, Colt Cabana and CM Punk would settle their differences in the ring. Punk and Cabana would surprisingly, out of respect, shake hands when the bell rang. You could tell that both of them had mutual respect for one another, as nothing went to the extreme and too far. Punk would eventually conclude the match with Cabana tapping out to the "Anaconda Vise." Both would shake hands after the match. Winner: CM Punk With fans recognizing their friendship throughout the match and at the end where they shook hands, no one would ever think that when they exited the ring, Cabana would grab and smack a steel chair over the head of CM Punk's. Cabana would grab the microphone nearby and slouch over to tell Punk that "I'm not a comedian. I'm not a clown. I am a wrestler...and I will be treated like one. No more handshakes. No more apologies. This is what you wanted, huh? Well, this is what you'll get. Cabana then proceeded to hit Punk in the back several times, ended with a shot to the back Punk's skull, potentially knocking him unconscious.
7. Money In The Bank Ladder Match World Heavyweight Championship Contract Joe Hennig VS Wade Barrett VS Daniel Bryan VS Big Show VS Matt Hardy VS Kane VS Shelton Benjamin VS Kassius Ohno
This match included less moments compared to the fist Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but overall it was still entertaining to watch. A few moments to mention are when Wade Barrett gave his "Bull Hammer" to Kane, knocking him off the ladder onto Bryan, Hennig, and Hardy that would then make them collapse to the canvas. Another moment worth mentioning is when Big Show choke slammed Shelton Benjamin off the ladder going through another ladder. Matt Hardy would perform something similar as he delivered a "Twist of Fate" to Joe Hennig off the ladder. Daniel Bryan would lock-in his "Cattle Mutilation" on top of the ladder to Kassius Ohno only for the two of them to be separated by Big Show and Kane. Big Show and Kane would battle it out on a ladder, only to be stopped by Joe Hennig as he pushed the ladder down. Shelton Benjamin was close to retrieving the briefcase until Daniel Bryan made his way up the other side of the ladder hoping to grab the briefcase himself. Kassius Ohno would pull down Benjamin and then give him the "Cyclone Kill." Ohno would then climb the ladder to face off against Bryan who was inches away from becoming the victor. Ohno immediately began trading fists with Bryan as the two of them were the only two left standing. Ohno would then catch Bryan off guard after Ohno had reversed a kick to the side of his skull, delivering a "KO" to Bryan making him fall off the ladder. Ohno would then unlatch the briefcase to earn himself a future World Heavyweight Championship title shot. Winner: Kassius Ohno
8. Singles Match The Rock VS Brock Lesnar
The Rock and Brock Lesnar were prepared to destroy one another as they were near tearing each other in half prior to the match even starting. As soon as the bell rang, the both of them went right after each other. The Rock had delivered many furious punches to Brock, but they seemed to have not weakened him at all. Brock had immediately lifted up Rock and delivered an "F5" to him. Brock went for the cover, but The Rock kicked out even before the referee began the count. The Rock had delivered the spinebuster multiple times to Brock in an attempt to make him weak and dazed for the possibility of executing the "Rock Bottom." Brock Lesnar had not been worn down until The Rock cinched in the "Sharpshooter." Brock unfortunately for The Rock, did not tap out. Brock had not gotten back up to his feet for quite some time though. The Rock did his best to wear down Brock even more by delivering a number of kicks to his back. Brock was in pain for sure now as The Rock was in control until out of nowhere, Brock grabbed The Rock by his feet and locked in the "Brock Lock." Now The Rock had been in a huge amount of pain as his leg was near being broken. The Rock could not withstand the agony anymore as he had no chose but to tap. Winner: Brock Lesnar
9. No Holds Barred Match Chris Benoit VS Triple H
Chris Benoit and Triple H were also ready to annihilate one another as it had started by Triple H disrespecting Canada, calling it a country that was filled with "losers and a whole bunch of annoying, non-talented, and unintelligent nobodies." Benoit would take offense to his words and would assault Triple H as Benoit disproved of Triple H ever since he stepped foot in the DWE. In the match, many weapons were used by both competitors. In what felt like seconds, the two had been busted open with blood pouring out everywhere they went. Benoit had the match nearly over when he locked in the "Crippler Crossface", but Triple H did not submit. Triple H with the strength he had left, lifted up Benoit to execute a huge spinebuster. Benoit was near his end, but Triple H miscalculated on an elbow drop that he was about to dig into Benoit’s chest. Benoit had Triple H where he wanted him as he had climbed to the top-rope to execute his “Diving Headbutt.” Benoit had gone for the cover, but Triple H kicked out. Benoit was out of it and Triple H saw it in his eyes. Triple H went to the outside of the ring and looked underneath it, pulling out a chair. He had brought into the ring and just set it down near Benoit. Triple H eagerly waited for Benoit to make it to his feet as Triple H would deliver a painstaking spinebuster onto the chair. Triple H then lifted up Benoit by the hair and then proceeded to deliver the "Pedigree." Benoit through had counted the maneuver into his "Crippler Crossface" that he used previous in the match. This time Benoit was able to put the chair around Triple H’s arm; squeezing his arm between the chair the tighter he applied the submission hold. Eventually, Triple H couldn't bare it anymore for he had tapped out. Winner: Chris Benoit
10. Singles Match Undefeated Streak The Undertaker VS Eddie Guerrero
Eddie Guerrero had given his all throughout 2012 and 2013 and was waiting for a true challenge to come his way. He then noticed The Undertaker was returning at FreedomFest to defend his undefeated streak for Eddie could not resist accepting his challenge. The Undertaker had no idea what Eddie was capable of doing in this match. Eddie had simply showed how much he wanted to win this match. Eddie would attempt to cheat as best as he could as those are the words he lives buy. The Undertaker was somehow looked over going into this match, but didn’t live up to it as he seemed hesitant throughout the match. Eddie was destroying The Undertaker until; The Deadman had somehow got back into it choke slamming Eddie through the ring after an attempt to deliver a crossbody. The crowd was stunned as Eddie was surely not getting back up from this. The Undertaker had then lifted Eddie up out of the hole in the ring and would execute the "Tombstone Piledriver" to secure the win. Winner: The Undertaker The ring would later be reassembled as the wood underneath the mat would need to be replaced in order for the last two matches to take place.
11. Steel Cage Match World Heavyweight Championship Batista (c) VS Test
After Test had accepted Batista’s challenge on WAR to defend the World Heavyweight Championship prior to FreedomFest, Batista had gotten what he anxiously waited for. In this match, Batista did all he could to retain the title, delivering viscous slams to Test. Test did the same as well, slamming Batista into anything he could get his hands on. It was the part where they began to climb out of the cage that drew all the attention as they were seconds away from either winning the match or falling down hard to the mat below. Batista out of nowhere lifted up Test for a "Batista Bomb" as Batista had jumped off the top of the cage,, into the mat below hurting Test and most certainly himself. Batista was hurt tremendously as it seemed he was not getting up anytime soon. Both competitors had been down on the mat for quite some time after that maneuver and would eventually climb back up to the top to declare a victor. Test and Batista both wanted to end the match. Test had delivered a huge big boot to Batista while climbing the cage. Batista would fall back to the mat. Test was now near reclaiming gold. Test was already climbing the other side he was there until, Batista rushed to his feet and kicked open the steel cage door, having it hit right into Test’s skull. Batista had grabbed Test and put him back into the ring. Batista now proceeded to exit the cage through the door, but to reassure his victory; Batista lifted Test back up for another "Batista Bomb. Batista crawled to the door, but it would be shut on him by Chris Jericho. Jericho held the door shut until Batista kicked it open for an escape. Jericho stepped out of the way to avoid being hit by the door, but slammed it shut against Batista’s head, making him dizzy allowing Test to pick up Batista and deliver "The Grade." Test then walked towards the door that was held open by Jericho allowing Test to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship. Winner: Test Jericho then raised Test’s arm as Jericho put his arm around Test to exert the happiness he felt towards Test.
12. Tables, Ladders, & Chairs Match DWE Championship Matthew Justice (c) VS Rob Van Dam
Matthew Justice has simply showed the world that he is the "true" DWE Champion. He has defeated nearly every competitor that’s stepped into the ring with him. Rob Van Dam though, has excited the crowd since day one. Van Dam has surely displayed that he deserves a shot at the DWE Title that Justice holds most dear. One night on PAIN, Justice would confront Van Dam telling how much he looked up to him. Van am would smirk, but would tell Justice that "this is not what I wanted to come out of a fan that appreciated the things I did for them. You’re a champion that viciously assaults his opponents, treats them unfairly, and basically spits in their faces. It’s disgusting." Justice disagreed with the comment and said that all of this is for him (RVD). Van Dam was shocked with Justice’s response. Van Dam wanted Justice’s actions to stop. They were unbearable; actions a "true" champion would not perform. Justice was upset that Van Dam did not appreciate the actions he did for him so, in upset; Justice declared that the stipulation for their match at FreedomFest would be a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. Justice and Van Dam were never friends to begin with. Justice was a fan and Van Dam was the performer that was idolized. Justice had slammed everything into Van Dam throughout this match as a sign of upset from the non-acceptance he received from Van Dam. Van Dam was giving it his all, doing similar actions to Justice, but for a different purpose. He wanted to knock some sense into Justice. Van Dam was put through multiple tables as well as a ladder. Justice would suffer the same, going through four tables at once that were set-up outside of the ring as Van Dam jumped off of a ladder onto Justice, delivering a devastating "Five Star Frog Splash." Justice did not move for quite some time after that. Van Dam continued to pursue the DWE Championship as it hung above the ring. Van Dam was having a large amount of difficulty climbing the ladder. At one point, Van Dam just stopped climbing in what appeared like he was resting. Justice, on the floor outside of the ring, realized he needed to get back up and continue to fight his idol. He would slowly get back up with the help of the ring apron as he slid back into the ring. He began climbing the other side of the ladder, gazing over a Van Dam who seemed to be out of it. Justice had his arms extended, nearing the end of this match as he was inches away from capturing the DWE Championship. Van Dam though got back up though, punching Justice continuously in his body. Justice could not take it any more punched Van Dam square in the face, making him fall down the entire ladder. Justice then looked below him at another ladder. Justice stepped off the ladder and grabbed two chairs that were already in the ring as well as grabbing a table. He had set-up the table, putting the ladder on top of it. He then placed the two chairs on top of the table and ladder, pushing it closer to the already positioned ladder. Justice then climbed the ladder and waited for Van Dam to get up. Van Dam would eventually, slowly but surely climb and get to the top of the ladder where Justice was, unaware of what was about to happen. Justice would lift Van Dam over his shoulders, jump off the ladder, into the structure he created, delivering a massive "Fair Treatment" through it. The two would bend the chairs and break through both the table and ladder. They were close to the point of never walking again, but Justice regained his balance and climbed the top of the ladder to retain the DWE Championship. Winner: Matthew Justice Justice had celebrated his win, nearly crying. Justice had insisted someone hand him microphone. Justice had done what many thought he would never do for he picked up Rob Van Dam and leaned him up against the nearest corner of the ring. Justice would proceed to tell Van Dam "that I am honored to fight against my idol. You made my childhood a wonderful experience and you made this match an experience that I will never forget. You will always be the "Whole F’n Show" and you will always steal the show as I was able to do it with you. Thank you!" Van Dam and Justice would then show respect for one another with a handshake following with a hug. The show would end with both of them raising each other’s arms as confetti fell over the entire arena.
If you read this, thank you! I really hope everyone enjoyed the show! Hopefully my way of writing this out was suspenseful and entertaining while you read. I enjoy making this kind of stuff into literature. Once again, thank you!
